I missed a post...

... to go have an arts day with my friend.
Yes, that's right people: I actually left the house!
We didn't get much done, but we did watch this several times: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IPIPLM8ELY

Anyway...
Slate, colored with crayon. His color scheme is pretty low-key, but colorful enough to be notable.

My "Under the Sea" sketch. The final product was quite beautiful, but I don't have any photos of it :(

Working on some profiles. This is a huge improvement over the "dog face" style that I had in 2005.

Accel, winding up for a punch. I love the motion in this sketch!

Sketch, sketch, sketch. Woo!

I love this color scheme. Man, what a badass.

Sanno was a character that just kind of showed up one day. :)
These sketchbooks are such a blast from the past! I'm hoping to post some new stuff or some work-in-progress every now and then, but don't expect anything particularly exciting for a while. Sciences just suck the creative spirit out of me D:

Just pulled an all-nighter...

... and now I'm working on 3.5 hours of sleep. D:
My design for a medic. Notice the change in the facial structure from my earlier pictures.

I remember arguing with my aunt that this was the ideal horse.

Zero. I'm enjoying the crayon shading in this one.

My Zero-rip, Slate. Inked with a B5 nib.

Color scheme for Clover. Can't tell if I like it or not :/

Perhaps later I will be in a more talkative mood. For now, I still have 1443 words left to write on my paper to be submitted in the next 4 hours. Wish me luck.

Into 2006

My 2006 sketchbook has quite a bit of content, despite finishing it in about 3 months. Oh, to have the time and energy to draw 1.1 pictures a day.
Here goes:
Quite a difference from the 2005 cat sketches!

My fan characters Accel (you know, like acceleration), and Slate (the Zero rip haha).

Trying realism.

These were preliminary drawings for the State Flower Show. The theme was "Under The Sea" for the youth.

Still my favorite weapon from MMX8.
This sketchbook is a good example of development. You'll see how much the style has changed from the beginning to the end. (start: 1/20/06; end: 4/3/06)
Looking at the differences in this sketchbook made me curious as to why my 2005 book was fairly uniform. Then I took a look at the start and end dates: 7/20/05... to 7/31/05.
I died. 100 pictures in 11 days.
Nine pictures a day.
I'm taking back my "1.1 pictures a day" comment. JEEBUS.
I don't think I can wrap my head around that D:

Some Doodles!

Here are the doodles of the day, featuring your friendly neighborhood Zelloman.
Exactly, Zero. Exactly. (Chem class)

Rather pleased with this one. 3/4 view is difficult, especially with a pointy helmet :} (Chem)

Last of the 2005 Book

I can hear a collective sigh of relief now... "Thank GOD. She's finally done with that horrid book!"
... I hope that isn't the case; I was only 11 or 12 :(
In any case, here are the rest of my ninjas:
This one is saved as "hood-rat." Hmmm...

Awww - It's Coaty! The most wonderful serial killer coat wearing cat ever :)

Sasuke look-a-like. Or is that is supposed to be him?

Not a profile, for once. Yay me!

This was actually a rather nice ending to the sketchbook. It makes me think of falling leaves.
I hope to scan a few pages in from my next sketchbook to post for tomorrow. Expect a lot more MegaMan in the next book!

Procrastination

Hi again! Double update today because I am procrastinating. That's right folks. That 9 page paper can just freakin' wait, because I am lazy.
So here we go:
No clue. Yeah.

This cat is holy sh*t actually realistic. Cool.

Oh ho ho. It's Zero. Everybody watch out.

This was drawn one beautiful morning in the cottage.

As a treat, have some lazy doodles that I did during my Global Issues seminar today. Sponsored by inattentiveness and 6 hours of sleep.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!

Yup.

Mmhmm.
Meh. Now for some paper writing! Hooray!

Some more 2005

I finished scanning in my 2005 sketchbook. I know I have others around that same age, but I can't seem to find them. I'm hoping that I'll start getting into some of the fun stuff before Christmas, but we'll have to see. On another note, my last final exam is December 8th, so I'll have oodles of free time to work on some paintings :D
 Okay, here we go:
This was a fan character that I drew for my little brother. We were both HUGE narutards.

Sayaka with some coloring. I'm pretty sure the profiles were inspired by the MM artist Bobcat...

Another horse, this time blinkered. Ah, to be a city kid wishing for horses (never again, hopefully).

This one is actually pretty cute!

Enter the InuYasha series, lol.
I really like looking back on old sketchbooks. Sometimes it's nice to see how far you've come, and sometimes a peek at the old books can give you some new ideas.
... and, uh, here are some hovering cats on glass! http://www.buzzfeed.com/ashleybaccam/cats-on-glass
